For many years people have used Microsoft Word 2003, I often refer to this version as “old Microsoft Word.”
In 2007
and 2010, Microsoft introduced Office 2007 and Office 2010, and with it came
Word 2007 and Word 2010. I tend to refer
to both of these versions as “new Microsoft Word,” because both versions contain
the new Ribbon navigation system. Both versions are virtually identical with only subtle differences. For the purpose of my training, I consider both versions to be the same.

When Microsoft Office 2007 (and now Office 2010) was released we were introduced to the Ribbon, which replaced the toolbars in Office 2003. These tutorials review some of the changes that occurred and are a great starting point if you've recently upgraded to Office 2007 or 2010.
